کمال یک عمل نیست، بلکه یک عادت است.
به همین دلیل من به همه شما، آنندا، میگویم: "این عمل خوب را که من بنیان نهادهام حفظ کنید. آخرین فرد من نباشید."
- بزرگترین دشمن انسان غرور اوست. بزرگترین ضرر از دست دادن خود است.
- تکبر بدترین شکست است. خودکمبینی چیزی است که بیشتر دلسوزی میطلبد.
- رحمت و آگاهی از بیثباتی که در ذهن متولد میشود، بزرگترین هدایا هستند.
پس از مرگ من، ای آنندا، بگذارید آموزهها جزیره شما باشند، به عنوان جزیره و پناهگاه خود زندگی کنید، بدون پناهگاهی دیگر.
برای کسی که مستقل است، هیچ نگرانیای وجود ندارد. زمانی که نگرانیای وجود ندارد، آرامش است. وقتی آرامش وجود دارد، تمایلی وجود ندارد. وقتی تمایلی وجود ندارد، رفتوآمدی وجود ندارد. وقتی رفتوآمدی وجود ندارد، هیچ مرگ یا زادهشدنی نیست. وقتی مرگ یا زادهشدنی وجود ندارد، نه این دنیا، نه آن دنیا و نه چیزی بین این دو وجود ندارد.
این پایان رنج است.

حتی خردمندانهترین کلمات تنها یک قایق هستند تا به ما کمک کنند به سوی دیگر برسیم، نه چیزی که به طور دائم به آن چسبیده باشیم. تنها دارما، که بدون تعلق است، دارمای حقیقی است.
