- Najveći neprijatelj je ego. Najveći gubitak je izgubiti sebe.
- Arogancija je najgori poraz. Samoponižavanje je najžalosnija stvar.
- Saosećanje i svest o prolaznosti u umu su najveći darovi.
Dakle, Ānanda, nakon što preminem, neka učenje bude vaše ostrvo, živite kao svoje vlastito ostrvo, vaše vlastito utočište, bez drugog utočišta.
